I haven’t done a tag in SO long. Seriously, it’s been so long that I can’t remember the last time I did one. This one seems like a ton of fun though, shout out to the awesome ladies at Twin Bookmarks who tagged me. They have a cool blog and you should check them out.
Small confession, I am definitely more of a dog person than a cat person. However, I still love cats and think they’re adorable. This gif of a cat jumping out of a window is my favorite thing ever.
Now that you’ve laughed at that, let’s get into this tag!

PURR – AS CATS DO THIS WHEN THEY’RE HAPPY OR RELAXED, WHAT IS THE BOOK THAT MAKES YOU HAPPIEST OR RELAXED?
Okay, I’m going to go with Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I’ve read the book at least 3 times so far and am planning another reread soon. I just love The Lunar Chronicles Series so much! The characters have stolen my heart and always manage to put a smile on my face.
SLEEP – WHAT IS A BOOK THAT PUT YOU TO SLEEP OR WAS JUST BORING?
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han really just didn’t do it for me. I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it, I just found the book sort of meh and a little boring. It definitely was not my favorite by this author. We’ll get to one of my favorites by her in just a minute 😉
TWITCH WHILE DREAMING – HAVE YOU EVER DREAMT OF A BOOK YOU READ?
Oh yeah, I’ve definitely had dreams where I’ve inserted myself into the action of the book. It’s happened multiple times.
This is kind of an embarrassing answer, but I’ve definitely dreamt that I was on Kat’s cool thief team from The Heist Society series. I clearly just want to be a thief badly. I just think it would be really cool to sneak around and infiltrate a place. Also the adrenaline rush of pulling a heist seems awesome. Also, I love Kat’s team so much. They’re so awesome and it would be cool to hang out with all of them.
For the record, I would be an awful thief! I’m way too clumsy for the job.
SEEMS TO PLAY NICE…UNTIL THE CLAWS ARE OUT – WHICH BOOK HAD THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST?
Okay, so I’m gonna go with A Court of Thorns and Roses, because this book took quite the turn! I totally wasn’t expecting what happened towards the end to happen. The plot twist, or turn really, actually saved the book for me. Had it not happened, this book would probably be my answer for the previous question.
CUDDLES – WHICH BOOK CHARACTER WOULD YOU GIVE A HUG TO?
I’m not the biggest fan of hugs, but there are so many characters I would give one too. This is a tough choice, but after reading A Court of Mist and Fury all I want to do is give Rhysand a hug. The poor boy has been through so much and he just needs it. Especially after the end of that book. Plus those abs though…
CATNIP – WHAT’S A BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAVE WARM AND FUZZY FEELS?
While The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han sort of bored me, her other series, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, gives me ALL OF THE FEELS! Not only does the romance in this series give me all the warm and fuzzy feels, but I really love Lara Jean and her family. They’re so awesome. Shout out to my home girl Kitty. I’m planning on doing a reread of this series soon so that I can read Always and Forever, Lara Jean which just came out.
CAT BREEDS – WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS?
Instead of listing my favorite books, I’m going to list the kinds of books I like to read instead. There are two many favorites and I’ve already mentioned a few here. I love twoish types of books. Either cute contemporary romances that give me all of the warm and fuzzy feels, or action-adventure stories with an awesome team (specifically heist and spy stories). Seriously, just give me one of those and I will be happy.
THE VET’S OFFICE – YOUR LEAST FAVORITE BOOK:
I don’t really have a book that is my least favorite book of all time. One book that I didn’t love so much was Matched by Ally Condie. There are just better Dystopians out there and this one didn’t really bring anything new to the table. It also wasn’t very interesting either.
BEING IN PLACES THEY SHOULDN’T – LEAST FAVORITE CLICHE:
I’m really not a huge fan of the whole “guy saves girl and then they fall in love” thing. Maybe it’s the feminist in me, but I’d much rather see our female lead save herself or at least try to. Also why does it always have to be her romantic interest? Why can’t her best friend or mom save her if someone has to save her? Maybe that’s just me.
FINAL QUESTION: THE GOOD OLD CARDBOARD BOX – MOST UNDERRATED BOOK SERIES:
I have to go with the answer I always give with this question, which is The Immortal Descendants series by April White. This is a cross between historical and fantasy YA fiction with some time travel thrown in there. The concept of this series is so original and I really enjoy the characters. Ringo forever has my heart. Please go check it out if you have not already, the first book is Marking Time and free on Kindle.
